R&B Haven Interview - All 4 One Return With No Regrets
While All-4-One prepares their upcoming album, No Regrets, due out in mid-September, they were able to find some time to talk with our sister site, R&B Haven. The guys covered a wide variety of material, talking about their upcoming album and tracks featured on it including “My Child,” “Don’t Know Nothin,” and “Regret.” The group also reflected on their old hits, revealing that they recorded “I Can Love You Like That” BEFORE John Michael Montgomery, and stated that Tony and Alfred sing and are instrumental parts of the group, despite many people claiming otherwise.

On Tony and Alfred’s roles in the group:
Delious: Can I say something for everyone on the net to see this? Alfred and Tony DO sing. I read more things about “What do those other two dudes do?”
Maybe not everyone’s a lead singer, although Tony has stepped out and done some leads on the record and all that. I just want everyone to know, they sing, they’re very valuable to the group.
Tony: Are you sure I’m not supposed to be the accountant?
Alfred Nevarez: I’m the taco driver or something like that right?
…
Delious: Where Tony may have come from that back in the day whole barbershop quartet, and Jamie and I from gospel, but maybe Jamie’s got a more pop sounding gospel and I have the more soulful sounding gospel, to Alfred who’s got that true bass. A lot of people who say they are bass singers aren’t really bass singers, they can’t get as low in the bass like Alfred. I think the difference in our backgrounds and the style of music is why we sound the way that we do.
On “I Swear” and “I Can Love You Like That”:
Tony: The funny thing was, when we sang on the Grammys together with John Michael Montgomery, obviously being a labelmate, he goes “oh guys you gotta hear this new song that I did. I think it’s another great song.” And we’re like that’s great, what’s it called? He says “I Can Love You Like That” and we’re like oh… we already recorded that.
So we did that before he did, it was a hand in hand type of deal. And then they rushed his out first to make it look like he did it first, which is untrue.
Delious: And then we had to keep listening to interviewers like, how come ya’ll keep doing country songs?
David Guetta Talks About Kelly Rowland to Out Magazine
David Guetta was recently interviewed by Out Magazine (can be seen here, pages 22-23) where he talked a lot about his hit single “When Love Takes Over” and Kelly Rowland’s success on the track. The big things worth noting in the interview are probably that Kelly Rowland and David Guetta are working together on her next album, and that Kelly had been really kept down before when she was under Matthew Knowles.
It’s humorous as they liken part of its effect as a gay anthem is the fact that Kelly Rowland was an underdog, having had to break free of Matthew Knowles hold. Check out the interview and let us know what you think.
R&B Artist Interview - India Arie
India Arie recently did an interview on 106 & Park. The initially shocking thing is how deep India’s voice is. During the interview, India talks about her new album Testimony: Vol 2, Love & Politics and her tour with John Legend. The interview is pretty good, I usually enjoy 106 & Park’s work. Check it out below.
Michelle Williams Interview

Joe Interview on R Kelly, R&B Super Group
Joe did an interview recently in which he talked about leaving Universal Records, as well as his affinity to playing the guitar. The most interesting part of the video is the question about doing a group with Chico DeBarge and Ginuwine. It would be awesome to see that kind of act, but unfortunately, it’s impossible. As we saw the other day in the Kevon Edmonds interview, and from TGT (Tyrese, Ginuwine and Tank)’s short lived existence, it’s a hard thing to get going. The labels don’t like their artists doing their own thing, even if it means better things for musicians.
Check out the full interview below and of course, check out Joe’s album, Signature.
