Eric Benet’s New Single

Eric Benet is working on a new album titled Lost in Time, and he has just released his first single. Titled “Sometimes I Cry,” the song is absolutely awesome. Eric sounds great, has nice production, and just works wonders here. Good to see some artists still keeping the real R&B alive. Check it out below.

Solo Is Back in the Game

R&B group Solo is back after a long hiatus. The group known for their soulful sound were a throwback during the 90s, offering great renditions of classics like What a Wonderful World, Cupid and Another Saturday Night as interludes on their debut self-titled album.

While the group’s debut went gold, they unfortunately were on a sinking label. The group’s sophomore album, 4 Brothas and a Bass, came out with little fanfare, largely caused by the demise of their record label, Perspective.

Well, the group’s been given a second chance as they return to the game. What’s great is, the group is making their entire return to the game visible to the public, as you can see at their site Solo and at their facebook.

Brian McKnight - Evolution of a Man Review

Brian McKnight’s ELEVENTH studio album came out yesterday, and thanks to You Know I Got Soul and R&B Haven, we’ve got the details for you.

From their descriptions, the album is a pretty big change for Brian McKnight, moving in a variety of directions and experimenting with multiple styles. The album features several mid-tempo electronic tracks, as well as the occasional Reggae track.

Still, with tracks like “Not Alone” and “Another You,” the classic sound of Brian McKnight keeps up.

Kevon Edmonds new album, Who Knew, available now

Kevon Edmonds, Babyface brother, recently released his new album, Who Knew. Available on amazon, the album is short with only 8 tracks. Still, if Kevon’s past work as a solo artist and his time in After 7 are anything to use as reference, the album should be solid.

I recently bought the album, along with Joe’s Signature and Brian McKnight’s upcoming release, so I will be sure to let you know how they are!

New R&B Music - Boyz II Men - Back For Good

Boyz II Men’s latest cover album, Love, is approaching its November release date, but in the meantime, we’ve got a new song “Back For Good” for you. The track features a great throwback sound by the guys and is a catchy listen. However, the girl’s voice on this track just doesn’t mix well with the guys, sounding more country or something. Honestly, lets have Yuki Koyonagi back, she works well with the guys.

New R&B Music - Usher - Papers

So this song is probably a bit old for most people now, but well, I’ve been busy. Here we have the first song off of Usher’s upcoming album Monster. Titled “Papers” the song seems autobiographical as Usher sings about being tired about how his relationship has gotten and says he’s ready to sign the divorce papers. Honestly, the song seems weak to me, mimicking Confessions success too much yet missing the heart that was seen on that album. I like the song, it just doesn’t seem right to me.

New R&B Music - Mya feat Sisqo - Want It All

New R&B Music - Brandy feat Ne-Yo - Good Night, Good Morning

So I’ve been loving Brandy’s duets for a while now, but this latest one, titled “Good Night, Good Morning” done with Ne-Yo just isn’t doing it for me. Up-tempo, the track is supposedly for Alexandra Burke and it just seems a little over the top. The song is repetitive, the delivery is meh. No thanks.
