A Look at Ruben Studdard’s New Album
So we’re a little late on this one (what can I say! This blog didn’t exist then!), but Ruben Studdard of American Idol fame has got a new album out titled Love Is. The album’s classic R&B, showing again that Ruben’s capable of a lot, he just never got the love he deserved or the proper songs.
The album features a few covers including Extreme’s More Than Love, The Beatles The Long & Winding Road, Al Green’s For The Good Times, and Donny Hathaway’s Someday We’ll All Be Free. I’ve included Ruben’s rendition of More Than Words below so you can check it out.
The album’s also got a healthy stable of original songs, including this solid track, Just Because, which I’ve included below.
So what I’m trying to say is, give the Teddy Bear one more chance, he knows R&B.
