New R&B Music: Chris Brown - Smash
As Chris Brown and Rihanna prepare to square off in the court room later today (untelevised unfortunately), both artists have taken this time to release new tracks. We posted Rihanna’s “Te Amo” earlier in the weekend and here we have Chris Brown’s “Smash.” Produced by Stargate, the song is a bit incomplete with an unfinished second verse and an incomplete bridge. The song is of course, AutoTune heavy, and features a techno-esque beat. Interestingly, Chris Brown actually seems to acknowledge the AutoTune hate on the track, starting off with something along the lines of “Yea, I’m using AutoTune. I’m the type of guy who won’t follow the rules.”
Chris Brown has an album titled Graffiti due out later this year which may include this track.
