Preview Amerie - In Love & War

Amerie’s new album, In Love & War is due out November 3rd. But to get a first listen to some of the tracks, you don’t have to wait until then as Def Jam has allowed 6 of the songs to be previewed on her site. The available songs include full clips of “Heard Em All,” and “Why R U,” and snippets of “Higher,” “Tell Me You Love Me,” “Pretty Brown,” and “Red Eye.”

New R&B Music - Amerie - Heard Em All

As Amerie’s album, In Love & War, was moved back, it was announced that a new single would be coming soon. Well, here’s “Heard Em All,” the album’s official second single and follow-up to “Why R U.”

The new song has a rock, pop sound to it. Produced by Sean Garrett and Eric Hudson, the song has a great beat to it and really gets you bobbing your head. The song is a fun anthem and, while different from typical Amerie, is a really wild track. Check it out and have some fun.

Music Overhaul - Sugababes, Monica, Michelle Williams and Amerie

That Grape Juice did a feature recently where they looked back on a few classic songs that were overlooked in the last few years. The author wrote up about Sugababes - My Love Is Pink, Michelle Williams - Thank You, Monica - Hell No, and Amerie’s Crazy Wonderful. The write ups are great and each one links to the songs.

To give you an example, check out the write-up on Sugababes My Love Is Pink:

While everyone and their mum seems to have hopped aboard the Electro-Pop/R&B bandwagon recently, the Sugababes were ahead of the pack - as evidenced by their 2007 LP ‘Change’. Filled with dance-floor destined hits, the album also served up the Brian Higgins produced ‘My Love Is Pink’. This one can be best described as Electro-Pop with a slice of R&B and a dash of funk. Great track

Amerie’s New Album, Love & War, Delayed Til September 29th

Looks like Amerie is getting the LeToya Luckett treatment as both R&B singers have seen heavy delays on their albums. Amerie’s upcoming album, Love & War, was originally slated for an August 11th release date, only to first be pushed back until September 8th, and now moved further to September 29th. The album will be Amerie’s first effort with her new label, Def Jam. Thus far, only the buzz single, “Why R U” has been released.

New Music Video - Fabulous, Keri Hilson - Everything Everyday Everywhere

Fabulous fifth album, Loso’s Way released yesterday and with it came the music video for the single “Everything, Everyday, Everywhere” featuring Keri Hilson. The song’s still not bad, I go back and forth on it. Fabulous has some decent lines in it and Keri Hilson works well with Fabulous on the chorus. The video features a ton of cameos with Ryan Leslie, Rick Ross, Trey Songz, and Amerie all making appearances.
