Brian McKnight - Evolution of a Man Review

Brian McKnight - Evolution of a Man

Brian McKnight’s ELEVENTH studio album came out yesterday, and thanks to You Know I Got Soul and R&B Haven, we’ve got the details for you.

From their descriptions, the album is a pretty big change for Brian McKnight, moving in a variety of directions and experimenting with multiple styles. The album features several mid-tempo electronic tracks, as well as the occasional Reggae track.

Still, with tracks like “Not Alone” and “Another You,” the classic sound of Brian McKnight keeps up.

New R&B Music - Brian McKnight - What I’ve Been Waiting For

Finally, some real solid R&B music. We posted a snippet of Brian McKnight’s new song “What I’ve Been Waiting For” when he sang the song in a live performance. Well, we now have the full track as it’s been uploaded to zippyshare by someone. The track is a little faster paced than I expected from the live performance, but Brian McKnight sounds tight. His voice is great, the chorus is catchy, and the delivery is just right. New artists, take note. This is what we need right now.

Brian McKnight - New Album - Evolution of a Man - New Single - What I’ve Been Waiting For

We talked a while back about Brian McKnight’s upcoming album, Evolution of a Man, but we now know a lot more about it. First, the album is due out October 13, 2009, and will include thirteen tracks. The song list can be seen below:

1. “While Im Feelin This Way”
2. “What I’ve Been Waiting For”
3. “Next To you”
4. “Baby It’s You”
5. “More That Just A Thang”
6. “Just A Little Bit”
7. “I Betcha Never”
8. “Without You”
9. “Another You”
10. “End and Begin With You”
11. “I Miss You”
12. “Hold Back My Heart”
13. “Slow”

In addition, Brian McKnight is preparing to release his new single, “What I’ve Been Waiting For.” We have some clips below of “End and Begin With You” as well as “What I’ve Been Waiting For.” Both songs sound absolutely solid and have me real excited for this album. First All-4-One shows a return to a more urban feel, and then Brian McKnight shows he’s still got it. This year may yet be saved from it’s poor output so far.
