Ne-Yo, Ryan Leslie, Fabulous to make Male R&B Super Group?

Looks like Tamia, Deborah Cox and Kelly Price aren’t the only ones hungering to make a super group. While we previously reported Fabulous plans to collaborate with Ne-Yo on an upcoming project, it’s recently been revealed that Ryan Leslie could be involved as well. The three are currently in negotiations to do a project together, which could definitely turn the music industry on its head.

Fabolous and Ne-Yo Considering Best of Both Worlds Album

Fabolous recently released his fifth album, Loso’s Way, but he’s not wasting any time as he already has spoken about plans for a new album. According to Fabolous, he’d like his next project to be a best of both worlds album done in conjunction with R&B singer Ne-Yo. This has been done in the past by R Kelly and Jay-Z but frankly, it’s not something I’m all that interested in.

Fabolous and Ne-Yo are two of my favorite current artists in their respective genres, but still, I don’t want a full album of rap/R&B collaborations. It’s a nice style to see for a song here and a song there, but to do an entire album of collaborations just seems tired. We’ll keep you posted as more is heard about the project.

New R&B Music - Ne-Yo - I Can Feel You

Whoa. It’s been a while since our last Ne-Yo leak, but here he is, back in the game! Titled “I Can Feel You,” the track has a funky feel to the beat. The song has a great feel to it, sounding like a classic throwback track. Ne-Yo does a great job with this disco-esque track that normally wouldn’t be my thing but in this case, it’s just so different that I have to eat it up.

New R&B Music - Richgirl - Uncharted Waters

Richgirl had a new leak recently, titled “Uncharted Waters.” The song was produced by Bryan Michael-Cox and is a mid-tempo ballad, typical for Cox. Richgirl has been leaking music like crazy (they’re up to Ne-Yo levels), but it’s all been pretty decent. The group is offering a throwback to the 90s R&B girl groups and is at least doing something different from all the dance tracks out now. Overall, I approve. However, I can’t stand one girl’s vocals, I wish I knew who it was. She’s the one who sings “and it’s hard to believe that you know every thing that I like.” Such an annoying voice.

Unreleased Michael Jackson Tracks on Missing Hard Drives

Well, here’s something dramatic. News came out that Michael Jackson had copies of unreleased songs with producers including Ne-Yo, Akon, and Will.I.Am on hard drives in his rented Holmby Hills, Calif., mansion. When Michael Jackson died, the apartment was emptied by his family (who took EVERYTHING, including rented furniture), and the drives were reportedly lost.

Michael Jackson’s estate is trying to obtain the drives, however, it is suspected that LaToya Jackson has come into possession of them. Many of the new songs may be the only copies, as Will.I.Am reported that he doesn’t have copies of any of the tracks he did with Michael.

According to Michael Jackson’s estate lawyers, there were over 100 unreleased songs, including many tracks from the Bad era. Visit Billboard for the full story.
